Great Food From Wedding Caterers

Finding wedding caterers can be a huge hassle for every bride and groom. Catering is of the most expensive parts of the entire wedding. You have to shop for wedding caterers that can meet all of your needs and most importantly your budget. There are many caterers who raise there prices when they are told that the banquet that needs to be made is for a wedding. An easy way to make sure this does not happen to you is to tell them that the reception is for an anniversary or celebration, this is completely true so don’t feel bad. Make sure you plan way in advance with any wedding caterers, they have no problem raising their prices for anyone who is last minute.
There are many couples who have to cut their guest list because they cannot afford to feed everyone. Luckily, there are ways in which you can invite everyone and save money on the catering. The most significant aspect is figuring out what everyone’s plate will cost. This is determined exactly by the main course that will be served. If you are having extremely fancy meat, such as lamb, the plates are going to be more expensive. Appropriate planning can help save the newlyweds money and give everyone a satisfying and delicious meal.
The bar bill is of course what kills most couples wallets. A good way to make sure your friends and family do not go overboard on the drinks, is to make sure that the bar service is one in which the guests need to pay for their own drinks. This will ensure that your bill stays in the range you want it too. Also, most people aren’t going to want to pay for a lot of drinks, so the chances of someone getting extremely drunk is slim.
Many people say that they will come to the wedding, but don’t show up. A good rule of thumb is that go ahead and count that at least 5 to 10 people aren’t going to show for the wedding. To avoid wasting a ton of food and save money, have a reliable person count the number of people there the day before the wedding ceremony. Most wedding caterers have no problem letting the couple change how many plates they are going to need, since they are paying per plate.
The evening buffet is usually unnecessary in most cases. More than likely most people are already going to have left the reception and there is going to be a ton of unwanted food. You can go ahead and down size the buffet; most people are going to be too full from the reception dinner to want much else. If they are still hungry there is always drive through!
