The big day is quickly arriving and you have a ton of little details you need to get worked out. You have to make sure that everything goes just the way you want it to, without a single hitch. Your dress is beautiful and gorgeous, the caterers are ready, and the church looks like a fairy talk. All of your closest friends and family are going to be there, and you want everybody to have a great time. I am sure that you have heard the horror stories; someone starts drinking too much alcohol, they get arrested while driving home, or set the reception hall on fire. Okay, well maybe they don’t set anything on fire, but it ends up bad. Of course you have seen watched the movie “The Wedding Crashers” and you will do anything it takes to make sure that nothing of that extent happens at your wedding.
To every bride to be out there, wedding crashers do exist, so beware. There are real people who enjoy crashing weddings and that just adds another thing you have to worry about on your big day. Most weddings make it through without being crashed, but if you are having a huge wedding than be a little wary. You might see a “cousin” that you never knew you had or it can be someone you know that shows up un-invited. Being prepared is the only thing you can really do about wedding crashers.
If among all the festivity, you spot someone who you don’t know at all, they are probably wedding crashers. Just hope that all they want to do is have a good time. Wedding crashers such as these do not usually want to upset you or ruin the special day, they might actually make your reception really fun. These wedding crashers, whether you know them or not, are only there for the free food, entertainment, and alcohol. People such as this can help make your wedding a day you won’t ever forget, but in a good way.
If wedding crashers are going to show up, hope they aren’t the ones that want to cause problems. Most are definitely people you or someone else at your wedding probably knows. Jealous exes or unhappy family members are usually categorized as these types of wedding crashers. But, they can easily be people you don’t know too. These crashers usually want to get drunk, harass you or one of your guests, and pull pranks that aren’t funny. Make sure you have security ask these people to leave and escort them away from the premises. If you don’t have security at your wedding consider calling the police.
Watch any gifts you get at your reception. Make sure that they are placed under a watchful eye or put in a safe place. Wedding crashers have been known to steal gifts from your gift table at the reception.
